Located in the heart of Sebastopol, Station 83 serves the city's residents, businesses, and surrounding communities. Following the 2025 consolidation with Gold Ridge Fire Protection District, the station transitioned from a historically volunteer-staffed department to a fully staffed fire station, providing emergency response coverage 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Station 83 is staffed with a minimum of three career firefighters per shift, consisting of a Captain, Engineer, and Firefighter, with additional support from volunteers and firefighter interns.
