The Freestone Station is located at 456 Bohemian Hwy Occidental, CA. Station 80 was at one point in time, Gold Ridge Fire Protection Districts most western station, but after the consolidation with the absorbtion the volunteer companies of North Bay Fire, that is no longer the case. This station houses one one watertender and unitlity that is staffed by volunteers.
Though the numbers are small, the dedication and length of service from the Freestone volunteers is hard to match. Station 82 personnel respond to all emergency calls in Station 80's response area if volunteer staffing is not available to ensure response.
