Located in the heart of Monte Rio along the Russian River, Station 54 serves Monte Rio and surrounding communities, including the rural and forested areas extending toward the Sonoma Coast. Station 54 is staffed 24/7/365 with a minimum of three firefighters per shift, consisting of a Captain, Engineer, and Firefighter, support from volunteers and firefighter interns, and of course Assistant Chief Baxman. The station continues Monte Rio's longstanding tradition of community service while benefiting from the shared personnel, training, and resources of the larger District.
